  • 50% on a square image = circle shape.
  • Use PNG for transparent backgrounds.
  • Everything runs locally — your image never leaves your device.

Why it matters

Rounded corners soften the visual impact of images, making them feel friendlier and more modern. They are essential for profile avatars, card layouts, and UI components where sharp edges look out of place.

Frequently asked questions

How do I round the corners of an image?

Drop or select an image, then drag the radius slider to set the corner roundness. At 50% you get a fully rounded shape. The preview updates in real time so you can see the effect before downloading.

What radius gives a circle shape?

Setting the radius to 50% on a square image produces a perfect circle. On a rectangular image, 50% gives a fully rounded rectangle. For a true circle crop, use our dedicated Circle Crop tool instead.

What format should I download?

Use PNG if you need the transparent area outside the rounded corners to remain transparent. JPEG does not support transparency and will fill the corners with a solid color. WebP supports transparency and offers smaller file sizes.
